The delay in the decision for the city’s contest to award a lot in the Syd Clarke Industrial Park should come as no surprise to anyone who has dealt with City bureaucrats, especially Nancy Merrill.  Her reason for the delay, “no particular reason”, is so typical of my dealings with her.  I believe “no particular reason” is a bureaucratic euphemism for “we’re incompetent and can’t meet the simplest of deadlines”.   The secrecy behind something as innocuous as the number of entries submitted is also typical of my dealings with her.  It probably is designed to cover the embarrassment of knowing there are not more than a couple entries.  More details regarding the counter-productive activities of Nancy Merrill and the Claremont bureaucrats can be found on my hangar page at http://www.meyette.us/hangar.htm
